PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) is calling on registered farmers in Maros Regency, South Sulawesi, to immediately optimize the absorption of the 2025 subsidized fertilizer allocation. This was conveyed by the General Manager of Pupuk Indonesia Regional 4, Wisnu Ramadhani, during the "Rembuk Tani dan Tebus Bersama" (Farmers' Dialogue and Collective Redemption) event.

During the event, which was attended by 350 participants including farmers, kiosk owners, agricultural extension workers, and local government officials, Wisnu emphasized the importance of registered farmers making use of the fertilizer subsidy allocation set by the government. He stressed that farmers who do not redeem their allocated quota as stated in the e-RDKK (Definitive Plan for Group Needs) risk being excluded from the list of subsidy recipients in the following year.

“We want to ensure that every granule of subsidized fertilizer reaches the right hands and is used to improve productivity. There is still a significant portion of the allocation in Maros that has not been absorbed. As of mid-year, subsidized fertilizer absorption in Maros Regency has only reached 38% of its 2025 allocation. Therefore, we remind you that this year’s redemption data will be a key reference for next year’s e-RDKK registration. We urge farmers to redeem their rights as soon as possible to avoid losing their subsidy recipient status in the future,” said Wisnu.

Wisnu added that Pupuk Indonesia’s commitment does not stop at distribution. The company will continue to provide support down to the farmer level through the active roles of Account Executives (AEs) and Assistant Account Executives (AAEs) in the field.

“We will also intensify soil testing campaigns to help farmers understand the condition of their land, so that nutrient absorption becomes more effective and productivity increases,” he added.

On the same occasion, the Regent of Maros, Chaidir Syam, expressed his full support. He instructed all relevant departments, from the agricultural office to field extension workers, to maintain close cooperation in overseeing the distribution of subsidized fertilizers and facilitating farmers.

“This is a shared responsibility. The regional government, Pupuk Indonesia, distributors, and kiosks must all work in synergy. Let us work together to ensure our farmers are not disadvantaged and that fertilizer absorption in Maros is optimized,” said Regent Chaidir Syam.

The call was positively received by the attending farmers. During the event, which was also supported by the Indonesian Fertilizer Distributor Association (ADPI), a direct redemption of 58.84 tons of subsidized fertilizer was recorded. This included 26.62 tons of Urea and 32.22 tons of NPK Phonska, reflecting the enthusiasm of the participating farmers.

Pupuk Indonesia will continue similar outreach and assistance efforts to ensure the government’s subsidized fertilizer program is effective, well-targeted, and contributes meaningfully to national food security.
