PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) has partnered with the Sidrap Regency Government to accelerate the distribution of subsidized fertilizer. One of the initiatives carried out was the "Rembuk Tani and Joint Redemption" event, held at the Sidrap Regent's Official Residence in South Sulawesi.

Sukodim, Senior Manager (SM) of Sales for Regional 4A at Pupuk Indonesia, stated that the company is committed to ensuring transparent and accountable distribution of subsidized fertilizer.

He reminded all distribution networks to comply with the government-regulated Maximum Retail Price (HET). “Our commitment is clear—to ensure that subsidized fertilizer reaches farmers at the price set by the government. Therefore, we emphasize that the price at the farmer level must comply with the HET. We are also ready to provide non-subsidized fertilizer as an alternative for farmers whose needs exceed the subsidy allocation,” Sukodim explained.

According to Sukodim, the event, which was attended by 500 farmers, successfully distributed 265 tons of subsidized fertilizer. In just one day, the company distributed 135 tons of urea and 130 tons of NPK Phonska.

On the same occasion, Sidrap Regent Syaharuddin Alrif expressed his appreciation for the initiative by Pupuk Indonesia. He called on all stakeholders to fully support the national food self-sufficiency program. According to him, one of the key steps is ensuring that farmers redeem their fertilizer allocations at official kiosks.

“The first step in supporting food self-sufficiency is to ensure that farmers receive what they are entitled to. I urge all farmers to redeem their fertilizer quotas at authorized kiosks,” said the Regent.

Regent Syaharuddin Alrif further emphasized the need for transformation in the agricultural sector by encouraging the involvement of the younger generation. “It’s time for transformation. Let’s encourage our youth to become modern millennial farmers. The local government, along with agricultural extension workers, is ready to provide full support to help nurture successful farmers in the future,” he added.
