As part of its efforts to safeguard and support the Government’s policy to achieve national food self-sufficiency, PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) is committed to maintaining the availability of subsidized fertilizer stocks in order to meet the needs in accordance with the allocation set by the Government.

This was conveyed by Wisnu Ramadhani, General Manager of Regional 4 at PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero), during the “Farmers’ Forum and Joint Redemption” event held at the Andi Kambo Hall, Office of the Regent of Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi.

“Our duty at Pupuk Indonesia, particularly in Regional 4, is to ensure that the allocation for South Sulawesi, including Luwu, truly reaches the rightful farmers. We will continue to ensure stock availability in kiosks and assist farmers so that this allocation can significantly boost production,” said Wisnu.

Wisnu explained that the Government has decided to increase the national allocation of subsidized fertilizers. As a state-owned enterprise mandated to produce and distribute subsidized fertilizers, Pupuk Indonesia is fully prepared to oversee the Government’s policy, which has more than doubled the national subsidized fertilizer allocation.

“The Government has shown extraordinary commitment by increasing the allocation from 4.5 million tons to 9.5 million tons. This is clear proof of seriousness that we must safeguard together,” Wisnu stated.

On the same occasion, Luwu Regent H. Patahudding welcomed Pupuk Indonesia’s commitment. He also expressed appreciation and gratitude to the Central Government for increasing the allocation of subsidized fertilizers.

“Since Mr. Amran Sulaiman became Minister of Agriculture, there have been no more complaints about fertilizer shortages. Alhamdulillah, thanks to Pupuk Indonesia, stocks are always available. Today, the General Manager himself has come down directly to discuss matters with all of us,” he said.

He also instructed all his staff to fully support the smooth distribution process. “I urge agricultural extension officers not to tire of visiting farmers, and kiosks must be proactive in helping farmers so their quotas are maximally distributed. Let us ensure that this abundant allocation is well absorbed,” he added.

At the event, which was attended by 400 farmers, Distribution Business Actors (PUD), Recipients at the Handover Point (PPTS), and agricultural extension officers, redemption reached 708.28 tons, consisting of 290.2 tons of Urea, 356.9 tons of NPK Phonska, 40.3 tons of NPK Special Cocoa Formula, and 10.08 tons of organic fertilizer.
