PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) is promoting the optimization of subsidized fertilizer distribution through a socialization event aimed at educating registered farmers and designated distribution points (PPTS) or retailer kiosks in Mamuju Regency, West Sulawesi, on Saturday (September 20, 2025).

“Through this outreach activity, we aim to strengthen the understanding of farmers and recipients at distribution points (PPTS), such as retailer kiosks, regarding the mechanism of subsidized fertilizer distribution. This is to ensure that the distribution is on time, in the right quantity, and to the correct recipients,” said Wisnu Ramadhani, General Manager of Regional 4 at Pupuk Indonesia.

He explained that the objective of the socialization is to improve understanding of the distribution mechanism up to the delivery points, in accordance with the latest government regulations, while also encouraging increased realization of fertilizer distribution in West Sulawesi, particularly in Mamuju Regency.

The event, attended by farmers, retailer kiosks (now referred to as PPTS), and the local community, was said by Wisnu to have run smoothly and received a positive response from all participants. He noted that direct explanations helped participants better understand the procedures for redeeming fertilizers via the e-RDKK system and the role of official kiosks in ensuring accurate distribution.

On this occasion, Pupuk Indonesia also called on all farmers in Mamuju Regency to register as recipients of subsidized fertilizers in accordance with the requirements stated in Minister of Agriculture Regulation No. 15 of 2025 (Permentan 15/2025). Registration can be done by contacting local Field Agricultural Extension Officers (PPL) in each region.

Ajbar, a member of Commission IV of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), expressed his appreciation for Pupuk Indonesia’s efforts in supporting the government’s programs. He emphasized the importance of synergy between the government, companies, and the community in the success of the subsidized fertilizer program.

“We appreciate Pupuk Indonesia’s proactive approach in going to the field and conducting socialization. This is important so that farmers and distribution points understand the distribution mechanism, minimizing issues at the kiosk or recipient level,” Ajbar said.

He added that DPR RI’s involvement in the activity is part of its oversight and representation function.“We want to ensure that farmers truly benefit from the subsidized fertilizer program, and that the distribution runs in accordance with government regulations,” Ajbar added.

Pupuk Indonesia Provides 8,651 Tons of Subsidized Fertilizer in West Sulawesi. To meet the needs of farmers ahead of the planting season, Pupuk Indonesia has secured 8,651 tons of subsidized fertilizer stock in West Sulawesi as of September 19, 2025. The breakdown is as follows: Urea 4,684 tons, NPK 3,257 tons, Special Formula NPK/Cocoa 616 tons, and Organic Fertilizer 94 tons. 

Specifically for Mamuju Regency, Wisnu stated that 5,723 tons of fertilizer stock has been recorded, consisting of: Urea 2,807 tons, NPK 2,597 tons, and Special Formula NPK/Cocoa 319 tons. This stock is sufficient to meet farmers’ needs for the upcoming planting period,” said Wisnu.

In terms of realization, Wisnu reported that Mamuju is one of the regions with the highest distribution achievement. Based on data as of September 18, 2025, the realization of subsidized fertilizer distribution has reached 24,225 tons, or 82% of the total allocation of 29,721 tons. “Through continuous education efforts, Pupuk Indonesia together with all stakeholders — including Commission IV of DPR RI — is optimistic that subsidized fertilizer distribution in West Sulawesi will continue to improve. This is expected to help boost agricultural productivity and support national food security,” Wisnu concluded.
