The distribution of subsidized fertilizer to registered farmers is now easier to implement. This follows the issuance of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 6 of 2025 on the Governance of Subsidized Fertilizer and its implementing rule, Minister of Agriculture Regulation (Permentan) No. 15 of 2025.

Under the new regulations, registered farmers can more easily redeem their fertilizer at designated delivery points, one of which is retailer kiosks. “We hope farmers will optimize their redemption at delivery points such as retail kiosks — now referred to as PPTS (subsidized fertilizer recipients at delivery points) — as part of achieving the national food self-sufficiency goal envisioned by the President,” said Fickry Martawisuda, GM of Region 2 at Pupuk Indonesia, on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

The government has streamlined 145 regulations and inter-ministerial and regional approvals. This is expected to make it easier for farmers to redeem subsidized fertilizer, especially with the rainy planting season approaching. To support this opportunity, Pupuk Kujang, a subsidiary of Pupuk Indonesia, has ensured sufficient stock across its distribution areas, including Garut, West Java.

According to Fickry, the easier redemption process is made possible by the i-Pubers application used at retailer kiosks. Through this digital system, registered farmers simply present their National Identity Card (KTP) and cash equivalent to the amount of fertilizer being redeemed. “The early arrival of the rainy season is usually utilized by farmers to accelerate planting. We continue to maintain fertilizer stock to support their planting plans,” added Fickry.

On this occasion, Pupuk Indonesia encouraged all farmers in Garut Regency to register as recipients of subsidized fertilizer in accordance with the provisions of Permentan No. 15 of 2025. Registration can be done by contacting the local field agricultural extension officers (PPL).

Pupuk Indonesia Provides 5,855 Tons of Subsidized Fertilizer Stock in Garut

Antonius Yudhi Kristyanto, Senior Manager of Regional 2A at Pupuk Indonesia, reported that the company had successfully distributed 60,904 tons of subsidized fertilizer in Garut Regency as of September 22, 2025. This total includes 57,590 tons of Urea and 51,000 tons of NPK.

At the same time, Yudhi confirmed that Pupuk Indonesia continues to maintain the availability of subsidized fertilizer stock in Garut Regency. As of September 22, 2025, stock availability stood at 5,855 tons, consisting of:2,298 tons of Urea and 3,557 tons of NPK.“Fertilizer producers are ensuring stock availability. The supply is sufficient — now it’s time for the 248,474 registered farmers to actively redeem their fertilizer,” said Yudhi.

Current stock levels in Garut Regency are considered safe. With an adequate supply for farmers’ needs, there is no need to worry about fertilizer shortages. This ensures that fertilization can be done on time, helping maintain crop productivity.

“This availability of stock is the result of careful planning by both us as producers and the government,” said Ade Cahya Kurniawan, Corporate Secretary of Pupuk Kujang, represented by Dondon Try Laksono, External Relations Officer of the Corporate Communication and Administration Department, during a press briefing in Tasikmalaya on Monday, September 22, 2025.

Dondon emphasized that Pupuk Kujang is continuously working to ensure that farmers in Garut Regency can prepare their land with peace of mind. Subsidized fertilizer has been stocked in warehouses well above projected demand, ensuring a stable and sufficient supply to support agricultural activities.

With well-maintained stock and smooth distribution, it is expected that the fertilizer needs of farmers in Garut will be met on time and evenly distributed. This is expected to help farmers increase their harvest yields without being hampered by fertilizer shortages during the rainy planting season.
