In commemoration of National Farmers Day, PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) is actively promoting the ease of redeeming subsidized fertilizers. As part of a series of outreach activities, Pupuk Indonesia stated that subsidized fertilizers can now be easily redeemed at designated retail kiosks or distribution points set by the government.

Fickry Martawisuda, General Manager (GM) of Regional 2 at Pupuk Indonesia, explained that registered farmers can conveniently redeem fertilizers digitally through the i-Pubers application available at retail kiosks. In the process, registered farmers only need to bring their National Identity Card (KTP) and cash in accordance with the allocated amount being redeemed.

"In line with the spirit of National Farmers Day, the Pupuk Indonesia Group supports the fulfillment of farmers' fertilizer needs by simplifying the process of redeeming subsidized fertilizers at retail kiosks," said Fickry on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

Fickry stated that the ease of redeeming subsidized fertilizers is backed by the government through Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 6 of 2025 concerning the Governance of Subsidized Fertilizers and the Ministry of Agriculture Regulation (Permentan) Number 15 of 2025 as its implementing regulation.

According to the new regulation, the recipients of subsidized fertilizers at the distribution points include farmer groups (gapoktan), fish farmer groups (pokdakan), retailers, and cooperatives engaged in fertilizer distribution.

“We hope that farmers will make full use of the redemption process at the designated distribution points or retail kiosks (PPTS/recipients of subsidized fertilizers at distribution points) in an effort to realize national food self-sufficiency, as emphasized by the President during the recent UN Assembly,” said Fickry.

The government has cut 145 rules and approval processes across ministries and regional governments. This is expected to simplify the redemption process for farmers, especially as the rainy planting season begins. To support this opportunity, Pupuk Kujang, a subsidiary of Pupuk Indonesia, is ensuring the availability of stock in its distribution areas, including Bandung Regency, West Java.

“The onset of the rainy season is usually utilized by farmers to accelerate planting, and we continue to maintain fertilizer stocks to support their planting plans,” Fickry added.

Pupuk Indonesia Provides 4,704 Tons of Subsidized Fertilizer Stock in Bandung Regency

Antonius Yudhi Kristyanto, Senior Manager of Regional 2A at Pupuk Indonesia, stated that as of September 23, 2025, the absorption of subsidized fertilizer in Bandung Regency had reached 22,368 tons out of an allocation of 46,989 tons, consisting of 14,146 tons of Urea and 8,222 tons of NPK.

Based on the report as of September 23, 2025, the total stock of subsidized fertilizer in Bandung Regency stood at 4,704 tons. This comprises 2,042 tons of Urea and 2,662 tons of NPK fertilizer.

“Fertilizer producers continue to maintain stock availability. The situation is sufficient, and now it’s time for registered farmers to proactively redeem fertilizers to meet their needs ahead of the planting season,” Yudhi said.

As seen from the current stock levels in Bandung Regency, the situation is secure. With sufficient stock to meet farmers’ needs, there is no need for concern over fertilizer shortages. This allows timely fertilization and helps maintain crop productivity.

“This stock availability is the result of our careful planning as producers in coordination with the government,” said Ade Cahya Kurniawan, Corporate Secretary of Pupuk Kujang, through External Relations Officer of the Corporate Communication and Administration Department, Dondon Try Laksono, during a press conference in Bandung Regency, Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

Dondon stated that Pupuk Kujang continues to ensure that farmers in Garut Regency can calmly prepare their land. The availability of subsidized fertilizer in warehouses has been prepared well above the demand level, ensuring a safe and adequate supply to support agricultural activities.

With well-maintained stock and smooth distribution, it is expected that farmers’ fertilizer needs in Bandung Regency will be met on time and evenly. This is hoped to help farmers improve their crop yields without being hindered by fertilizer availability issues during the rainy planting season.
