PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) invites all farmers registered in the definitive group needs plan (RDKK) in Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi (Sulsel), to immediately utilize the organic fertilizer allocated by the Government. This invitation was conveyed by the Government, represented by the Ministry of Agriculture, during the Socialization Activity for Increasing the Absorption of Subsidized Organic Fertilizer in Makassar City, Friday (September 26, 2025).

The General Manager of Regional 4 at Pupuk Indonesia, Wisnu Ramadhani, stated that Pupuk Indonesia is ready to support efforts to accelerate absorption by committing to maintaining the availability of subsidized fertilizer according to the allocated amount.

“We guarantee that the stock of subsidized fertilizer, including organic fertilizer, is available. Our hope is that through this socialization, farmers and distribution partners will better understand the distribution mechanism and immediately redeem according to the existing allocation,” Wisnu said.

Furthermore, Wisnu explained that increasing the redemption of subsidized fertilizer will have a direct impact on agricultural productivity and farmer welfare. “Organic fertilizer is not only important for increasing yields but also for maintaining soil fertility sustainably. Therefore, we continue to encourage farmers to actively redeem subsidized Petroganik fertilizer,” Wisnu added.

This socialization activity aims to strengthen coordination among parties in increasing the distribution of subsidized fertilizer, especially organic fertilizer, to achieve a realization target of 85% of the allocation in Gowa Regency.

At the same event, Jekvy Hendra, Director of Fertilizer at the Ministry of Agriculture, emphasized the importance of synergy among all parties to successfully implement the 2025 subsidized fertilizer program. “We must work together, including Pupuk Indonesia, distribution business actors, delivery points or PPTS, and agricultural extension officers or PPL, to increase the absorption of subsidized fertilizer in Gowa,” Jekvy stressed.

Meanwhile, Sry Pujiati, Head of the Subsidized Fertilizer Section at the Ministry of Agriculture, highlighted the aspect of fertilizer needs planning. According to her, data is the most important factor in managing subsidized fertilizer. “The preparation of e-RDKK must be truly aligned with field conditions. Accurate data will facilitate distribution, reduce obstacles, and ensure that fertilizer is truly received by eligible farmers,” she explained.

This socialization activity was appreciated by participants, especially field agricultural extension officers (PPL) and retail kiosks known as recipients at delivery points, as it provided a clearer understanding of the distribution mechanism and distribution of subsidized organic fertilizer. Pupuk Indonesia is optimistic that with synergy between the government, companies, distributors, official kiosks, and farmers, the target for distributing subsidized fertilizer in Gowa Regency can be achieved.
