As an effort to increase crop productivity, PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) is providing 1,200,679 tons of subsidized fertilizer stock ahead of the October–March (Okmar) planting season. This stock availability is nearly three times, or 259 percent, of the minimum requirement set by the Government. It reflects the Company’s commitment to achieving national food security.

Pupuk Indonesia’s commitment to supplying subsidized fertilizer for farmers registered in the Definitive Group Needs Plan (RDKK) aligns with the vision of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto. During the 80th United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States, he stated that Indonesia is making history in 2025, with rice production and national food reserves reaching their highest levels. This achievement makes Indonesia not only self-sufficient but also capable of starting rice exports.

"Fertilizer is a crucial instrument in increasing agricultural productivity and realizing national food self-sufficiency. Pupuk Indonesia is here to meet the needs of farmers by preparing stock in accordance with regulations and implementing a new fertilizer subsidy distribution system that provides more convenience for farmers in redeeming fertilizers," said Rahmad Pribadi, President Director of Pupuk Indonesia.

Based on data as of September 30, 2025, Pupuk Indonesia's national stock of subsidized fertilizer consists of 510,262 tons of Urea, 610,649 tons of NPK, 14,316 tons of Special Formula NPK/Cocoa, 8,759 tons of ZA, and 56,693 tons of Organic Fertilizer. These fertilizers are already stored in producer warehouses and distribution warehouses at the district/city level across Indonesia.

According to Rahmad, Pupuk Indonesia carries out the mandate of distributing subsidized fertilizers in accordance with the new governance rules set by Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 6 of 2025 on the Governance of Subsidized Fertilizer and Minister of Agriculture Regulation (Permentan) No. 15 of 2025 as part of its implementing regulations. As such, the distribution follows the 7T principles: Right Type, Quantity, Price, Place, Time, Quality, and Recipient.

To ensure these principles are upheld, Pupuk Indonesia is making improvements through the implementation of digitalization across its business processes—from the factory to retail kiosks or Fertilizer Recipients at the Handover Points (PPTS).

"In addition to corporate governance, PI is also improving the governance of fertilizer supply. Therefore, we encourage farmers across Indonesia to optimize the redemption of subsidized fertilizers, which the government has allocated at 9.55 million tons this year," said Rahmad.

Furthermore, he added that to support increased agricultural productivity, Pupuk Indonesia has prepared non-subsidized fertilizer stock. In the same period, 480,364 tons of non-subsidized fertilizer have been prepared, consisting of 412,212 tons of Urea, 27,411 tons of NPK, and 40,740 tons of ZA.

This stock availability serves as a solution for farmers who are unable to access subsidized fertilizers. Subsidized fertilizer can only be obtained by farmers who are listed in the RDKK, manage a maximum of two hectares of land, and cultivate one of the ten eligible commodities: rice, corn, soybeans, chili, shallots, garlic, cocoa, coffee, people’s sugarcane, and cassava.
