General Manager of Regional 4 PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero), Wisnu Ramadhani, stated that Pupuk Indonesia is actively encouraging the uptake of subsidized fertilizers among farmers in Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra). This support was conveyed during a series of Socialization Programs for Subsidized Fertilizers held across four regions—Muna Regency, West Muna, Konawe, and North Kolaka.

“Pupuk Indonesia is committed to supporting the government’s policy in ensuring fertilizer availability for farmers, especially in eastern Indonesia. Through this socialization program, we aim to ensure that all stakeholders understand the distribution flow as well as the shared responsibility in maintaining accuracy and proper targeting,” said Wisnu Ramadhani.

According to Wisnu, the socialization activities across the four regions were intended to strengthen synergy between the central and regional governments in supporting the proper and targeted distribution of subsidized fertilizers. The sessions also aimed to enhance stakeholders’ understanding of the e-RDKK (Electronic Definitive Group Needs Plan)–based fertilizer distribution mechanism and the importance of balanced fertilization in maintaining land productivity.

Southeast Sulawesi is one of the regions with high agricultural potential in eastern Indonesia, with a total harvested area of around 390,000 hectares. The province’s main commodities include rice, corn, cocoa, and coffee. Based on data from Pupuk Indonesia Regional 4 as of October 2025, the region’s annual demand for subsidized fertilizers reached 60,975 tons of Urea and 320,620 tons of NPK.

The event was attended by Member of Commission IV of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), Jaelani, as well as local government officials, agricultural extension officers, Business Distribution Actors (PUD), Handover Point Recipients (PPTS), and farmer groups.

Through this socialization program, Pupuk Indonesia not only strengthened inter-agency coordination but also reaffirmed its role as a national agricultural input provider that plays a strategic part in supporting national food security. The synergy between Pupuk Indonesia, the DPR RI, and local governments in Southeast Sulawesi is expected to enhance transparent, well-targeted, and sustainable management of subsidized fertilizers so that farmers can directly experience the benefits.

“This collaboration is tangible proof of our shared commitment to ensuring that every hectare of productive farmland in Indonesia receives sufficient, efficient, and sustainable fertilizer support,” Wisnu Ramadhani concluded.

Pupuk Indonesia Provides 12,546 Tons of Subsidized Fertilizer in Southeast Sulawesi

To meet farmers’ needs, Pupuk Indonesia has prepared 12,546 tons of subsidized fertilizer stock for registered farmers in Southeast Sulawesi. The stock consists of 5,917 tons of Urea, 5,740 tons of NPK, 780 tons of Special Formula NPK (Cocoa NPK), 65 tons of Organic fertilizer, and 44 tons of ZA fertilizer.

As of October 17, 2025, Pupuk Indonesia had distributed 64,896 tons of subsidized fertilizers in Southeast Sulawesi, equivalent to 62 percent of the province’s total 2025 allocation. This distribution includes 22,953 tons of Urea, 36,883 tons of NPK Phonska, 5,025 tons of NPK Cocoa, and 35 tons of Organic fertilizer.

In addition to ensuring smooth distribution, Pupuk Indonesia maintains fertilizer stock levels at warehouses spread across Southeast Sulawesi. Distribution is carried out through a network that includes 10 Business Distribution Actors, 227 Handover Point Recipients (PPTS), and Assistant Account Executives (AAEs) who routinely monitor fertilizer availability and redemption at official PPTS locations.

“Stock availability across all levels is currently in a safe condition. We are committed to ensuring that subsidized fertilizers are available according to farmers’ needs, both in mainland and island areas,” Wisnu added.
