Pupuk Indonesia Group is moving swiftly to meet the demand for subsidized fertilizers in preparation for the end-of-year 2025 planting season. This effort reflects the company’s strong support for the Government’s Highest Retail Price (HET) policy, aimed at strengthening national food security and increasing farmers’ purchasing power.

The President Director of Pupuk Indonesia, Rahmad Pribadi, stated that as the planting season approaches, the Pupuk Indonesia Group is expediting the distribution of subsidized fertilizers to even the most remote regions of the country, using both land and sea transportation.

“Today, we are not only ensuring that the factories and warehouses are ready, but also that all our trucks are operating smoothly. This is significant because these are the first fertilizer shipments being distributed under the new HET, which has been reduced by 20 percent,” Rahmad said during the ‘Release of Subsidized Fertilizer Distribution’ event held at the Gresik Petrochemical Industrial Area, East Java, on Wednesday (October 29, 2025).

Through Petrokimia Gresik, Pupuk Indonesia symbolically dispatched 145 tons of subsidized fertilizers, consisting of 30 tons of Urea, 60 tons of NPK, 30 tons of ZA, and 25 tons of organic fertilizer, destined for Talok and Sumberejo Warehouses in Bojonegoro, Jenu Warehouse in Tuban, and Paron and Sidokerto Warehouses in Ngawi. All of these fertilizers can be redeemed by registered farmers at the new HET rates.

Rahmad explained that the 20 percent reduction in the HET of subsidized fertilizers will make fertilizer more affordable and accessible for farmers. This policy, he added, demonstrates the Government’s concrete commitment to supporting farmers and boosting national agricultural productivity.

“This is a pro-farmer, pro-people, and pro-food security policy from President Prabowo. Because he truly understands how vital fertilizer is for agricultural programs, he instructed us to find a new business model that allows farmers to access fertilizers at lower prices,” Rahmad added.

As part of its commitment, Pupuk Indonesia has ensured that the new HET policy has been fully implemented across kiosks nationwide since October 22, 2025, following the Government’s official announcement. The company has also integrated the new prices into its Integrated Subsidized Fertilizer System (i-Pubers) and placed HET information stickers at all delivery points.

“The new HET adjustment has been fully integrated into the i-Pubers system, and we ensure that registered farmers can redeem fertilizer at the new prices. All transactions are monitored in real time through our command center,” Rahmad said.

As a state-owned enterprise entrusted with producing and distributing subsidized fertilizers, Pupuk Indonesia plays a vital role in maintaining national food security through adherence to the ‘7T’ principles (right type, right amount, right place, right time, right price, right quality, and right administration). To strengthen farmer engagement, Pupuk Indonesia and its subsidiaries continue to hold outreach activities, including the “Rembuk Tani” program—serving as a dialogue and education forum for farmers to better understand fertilizer affordability, sustainable innovation, and digital technology adoption for increased agricultural productivity.

Petrokimia Gresik, one of Pupuk Indonesia’s subsidiaries mandated to produce several types of subsidized fertilizers, remains committed to maintaining the reliability of its production facilities. Its President Director, Daconi Khotob, stated:

“National food security and self-sufficiency can only be achieved if crop productivity remains high, supported by sufficient fertilizer availability. Therefore, at Petrokimia Gresik, we are committed to maintaining both the production capacity and quality of fertilizers for all registered farmers,” said Daconi.

Pupuk Indonesia Provides 1.05 Million Tons of Subsidized Fertilizer

Pupuk Indonesia has prepared a stock of 1,055,068 tons of subsidized fertilizer available for all registered farmers throughout Indonesia. Of this amount, 167,646 tons are allocated for farmers in East Java, consisting of 51,832 tons of Urea, 107,625 tons of NPK, 92 tons of NPK for cocoa, 4,686 tons of Organic fertilizer, and 2,905 tons of ZA.

For Gresik Regency, the company has allocated 32,019 tons of fertilizer stock, consisting of 9,550 tons of Urea, 13,505 tons of NPK, 6,927 tons of Organic fertilizer, and 2,038 tons of ZA. All registered farmers can redeem these fertilizers at kiosks or delivery points using the new HET prices.

As of October 28, 2025, Pupuk Indonesia has distributed 1,516,741 tons of subsidized fertilizer across East Java, equivalent to 73.9 percent of the province’s total allocation of 2,053,650 tons for 2025. In Gresik Regency, 24,144 tons have been distributed from a total allocation of 42,960 tons.
