Innovations by Pupuk Indonesia Group in supporting the realization of national food self-sufficiency successfully brought home 32 awards at the 29th National Quality and Productivity Convention (TKMPN XXIX), held on Saturday (29/11/2025). Among the awards received were the Excellent – Quality Strategic Innovation (QSI) distinction and the “Top 3 Diamond” title, the highest score within the Diamond category at the TKMPN event.

The Corporate Secretary of PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero), Yehezkiel Adiperwira, expressed his gratitude for the recognition given by stakeholders for Pupuk Indonesia’s innovations in advancing agriculture in Indonesia. From dozens of awards received, Pupuk Indonesia’s innovators successfully secured 18 Diamond awards, 5 Platinum awards, 3 Best Performance awards, 2 Best Performance awards, and 2 Most Favorite awards.

“This achievement is proof that the culture of innovation within Pupuk Indonesia Group is not only active but continues to grow into a sustainable innovation ecosystem that drives efficiency, strengthens competitiveness, and maintains Pupuk Indonesia’s relevance amid global dynamics. These awards are also tangible evidence that the quality of innovation at Pupuk Indonesia makes a real contribution to the future of Indonesia’s food security and industry,” said Yezki, the familiar nickname of Yehezkiel Adiperwira, on Friday (5/12/2025).

At the strategic level, Pupuk Indonesia’s innovation this year earned the Excellent – QSI award through the DAPRescue Team innovation. This initiative delivers a comprehensive solution to safeguard the supply security of Diammonium Phosphate (DAP), a key raw material for NPK fertilizer within the Pupuk Indonesia Group, by optimizing price formulation, enabling flexibility in switching distribution modes, and adjusting supply sources. “This approach has had a significant impact on securing the supply of the company’s strategic raw materials,” Yezki emphasized.

In addition to the QSI award, another major highlight for Pupuk Indonesia Group was its success in achieving the Top 3 Diamond position through the GIO FLEX-PHOS innovation. This innovation succeeded in eliminating the national shortage gap of subsidized NPK fertilizer—previously 29,495 tons per month—down to zero tons per month by developing Flex-Phos technology, which enables phosphate plants to operate flexibly in supporting the operations of the NPK Phonska V plant at PT Petrokimia Gresik.

“This solution is considered a significant breakthrough in national supply stability and company asset optimization. The innovation ensures that domestic fertilizer availability becomes increasingly secure, supporting the realization of national food self-sufficiency in line with the Asta Cita vision,” Yezki added.

Meanwhile, Pupuk Indonesia itself sent four innovation teams, all of which successfully won national awards at TKMPN XXIX–2025. These four projects represent the strength of cross-functional collaboration, the utilization of technology, and the courage to break away from old ways of working to enhance efficiency and operational resilience across the Pupuk Indonesia Group.

“This achievement serves as both appreciation and a morale booster for the optimal efforts of Pupuk Indonesia Group personnel through creative ideas and innovations for the company’s advancement. It will also motivate employees to continue innovating in overcoming challenges within their respective companies,” he concluded.

TKMPN is held as a platform for national private companies and state-owned enterprises (SOEs) to showcase their success and capabilities in managing quality and productivity, both individually and in teams, using various management system approaches. TKMPN was held from 24–29 November 2025, bringing together more than 2,400 participants from 223 companies on one major stage of national innovation. Indonesia’s top innovators presented their work, shared experiences, and exchanged ideas to strengthen quality and productivity across various sectors.
