PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) successfully distributed subsidized fertilizer as of January 1, 2026. This achievement reflects the Company’s commitment and serves as a follow-up to the signing of the procurement and distribution contract for subsidized fertilizer with the Ministry of Agriculture on December 29, 2025.

Umi Kulsum, a farmer from Perbaungan District, Serdang Bedagai Regency, said she redeemed subsidized fertilizer right at the start of the year 2026. She purchased one sack of Urea fertilizer, packaged in 50 kilograms (KG), for her rice crops at a price of IDR 90,000, in accordance with the latest maximum retail price (HET) set by the Minister of Agriculture Regulation No. 1117 of 2025.

“I wanted to make sure if I could redeem subsidized fertilizer at the kiosk on January 1, 2026, at 00:00 WIB. And it turns out I could. Thank you, Pupuk Indonesia, for proving your commitment to distributing subsidized fertilizer,” Umi said briefly after completing her purchase.

General Manager (GM) 1 of PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero), Rizki Chandra Sakti, stated that the success of these two farmers proves Pupuk Indonesia’s readiness to serve farmers in meeting their fertilizer needs, even though the redemption took place just minutes after the new year, on January 1, 2026.

According to him, there are still several registered farmers in other regions of Indonesia redeeming subsidized fertilizer around the same time as Umi Kulsum. Rizki added that the redemption process is simple for farmers. This is made possible by the digital system, such as iPubers, implemented by Pupuk Indonesia at all official kiosks or retailers. Through iPubers, registered farmers simply need to visit an official kiosk with their Identity Card (KTP) and can redeem fertilizer according to their allocated quota and the latest HET.

Rizki also mentioned that in 2026, the Government allocated national subsidized fertilizer for the agriculture and fisheries sectors. The allocation for the agricultural sector reaches 9.55 million tons, the same as in 2025, while the allocation for fish farmers is 295,676 tons.

Subsidized fertilizer for agriculture can only be redeemed by farmers registered in the Ministry of Agriculture’s Electronic Definitive Group Needs Plan (e-RDKK). For fish farmers, they must be registered in the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries’ Electronic Subsidized Fertilizer Supply and Distribution Plan (e-RPSP).

“We welcome the early-year redemption activities in 2026, as they can support the realization of national food self-sufficiency,” he concluded.
