North Aceh, 14 January 2026 – PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) has once again distributed humanitarian assistance to support the acceleration of post-flood recovery efforts for communities in North Aceh Regency, Aceh Province. The assistance was symbolically handed over directly by President Director of Pupuk Indonesia, Rahmad Pribadi, to the Regent of North Aceh, Ismail A. Jalil, in North Aceh on Wednesday (14/01/2026).

“We at Pupuk Indonesia, together with Pupuk Iskandar Muda, are present for the people of Aceh in times of sorrow as well as joy. Aceh is grieving, and we grieve together. We are deeply concerned that communities have been struggling for 50 days. We pray that this disaster will soon come to an end and that people’s lives can recover as before,” Rahmad said to the media in North Aceh.

The disaster in Sumatra, particularly in North Aceh, has been ongoing since late November 2025. However, conditions for affected communities have yet to fully recover and still require support from many parties. As part of the Indonesian nation, Pupuk Indonesia continues to distribute assistance in stages to affected communities.

“Pupuk Indonesia’s assistance is not limited to today. It has continued from the very beginning until now. Across the entire Aceh Province, the forms of assistance vary. The value is not what matters most; what I want to emphasize is our togetherness with the community. This disaster cannot possibly be resolved by a single party alone,” Rahmad emphasized.

In this latest phase, Pupuk Indonesia distributed aid at several locations, including five clean water tanks and one truck carrying basic food packages, which were handed over at the Aceh Pendopo. Pupuk Indonesia also carried out mosque rehabilitation worth IDR 1 billion in flood-affected areas of North Aceh. On the same day, Pupuk Indonesia held a joint prayer session and distributed prayer equipment, Qur’ans, and mosque supplies to Al Muntaha Mosque, located within the Pupuk Iskandar Muda complex.

At the initial stage, Pupuk Indonesia distributed emergency response assistance consisting of 200 school supply packages, 200 blankets, and 200 food aid packages for Aceh. In addition, assistance was also delivered to North Sumatra and West Sumatra, comprising 575 food aid packages and 350 hygiene kits.

Pupuk Indonesia again distributed assistance on 4 December 2025, sending aid worth approximately IDR 3.8 billion to Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra in the form of food packages, ready-to-eat meals, and UHT milk. Subsequently, on 12 December 2025, Pupuk Indonesia distributed further assistance valued at IDR 789 million for Aceh, consisting of ready-to-eat meals, mineral water, and UHT milk. As of today, Pupuk Indonesia has distributed total assistance worth approximately IDR 24 billion, including support for temporary housing (Huntara) provided by Danantara in Pidie Jaya.

Through this assistance, Pupuk Indonesia aims to support disaster-affected communities so that they do not feel they are facing this tragedy alone. Pupuk Indonesia remains committed to being present alongside communities, enabling the recovery process to progress more quickly.

Lastly, Rahmad expressed hope that affected communities remain resilient in facing these difficult circumstances, despite the loss of property and even family members. This assistance represents a tangible expression of the care and presence of Pupuk Indonesia employees for communities across Sumatra in facing disasters.

Rahmad also confirmed that Pupuk Indonesia will continue to contribute to supporting the recovery process for disaster-affected communities in Sumatra. The company will continue to work in synergy with both local and central governments in post-disaster response efforts.

“There are still several matters that require our attention. We will continue discussions on what additional assistance is needed, and we will continue to provide support. We are ready to coordinate to help accelerate post-disaster recovery,” Rahmad concluded.
