North Aceh, 16 January 2026 – PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) is supporting the rehabilitation of agricultural land affected by flooding in Sumatra by providing non-subsidized fertilizer assistance. In addition, Pupuk Indonesia has also delivered humanitarian aid through the “Kementan Peduli” (Ministry of Agriculture Cares) program, which was symbolically implemented in Pinto Makmur Village, Muara Batu District, North Aceh.

President Director of Pupuk Indonesia, Rahmad Pribadi, stated that the Pupuk Indonesia Group remains firmly committed to realizing sustainable agriculture across Indonesia as part of efforts to safeguard national food security. This includes supporting agricultural land rehabilitation programs in Sumatra initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture following recent disasters.

“Alhamdulillah, Pupuk Indonesia continues to contribute to post-disaster recovery programs in Sumatra. This time, we are also supporting the rehabilitation of flood-affected agricultural land. This assistance is a collaborative effort involving all stakeholders through the Kementan Peduli program,” Rahmad said on Friday (16/01/2026).

To support the agricultural land rehabilitation program, Pupuk Indonesia has provided 10 tons of non-subsidized fertilizers. This assistance will be distributed to flood-affected agricultural areas in three regions: Aceh Province, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

According to Rahmad, the use of Pupuk Indonesia’s quality products is expected to ensure that the agricultural rehabilitation process proceeds according to plan. This will help strengthen food security in Sumatra and enable farmers to regain their livelihoods after suffering crop failures due to flooding since late November 2025.

The Government, through the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia, has initiated agricultural land rehabilitation efforts across Sumatra. Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman launched the rehabilitation program in North Aceh Regency, which was assessed as one of the most severely affected areas.

In addition to initiating the rehabilitation program, the Ministry of Agriculture, through the Kementan Peduli initiative, has also delivered humanitarian assistance to support post-disaster community recovery. Pupuk Indonesia once again actively contributed by sending 215 tons of humanitarian aid to Sumatra through the Kementan Peduli program, with a total value of IDR 5.68 billion. The aid was distributed to Aceh using 80 trucks.

The 215 tons of assistance consisted of 120 tons of rice, 5 tons of sugar, 24 water storage tanks, 8 trucks of bottled mineral water, 8 trucks of ready-to-eat meals, 5 trucks of snack foods, 3 trucks of milk, and 1 truck carrying coffee, tea, and eggs. This assistance was coordinated with various stakeholders to ensure that the aid delivered matched the actual needs of affected communities.

Although the disaster in Sumatra occurred more than a month ago, conditions for affected communities have not yet fully recovered and continue to require assistance from many parties. Pupuk Indonesia is committed to continuing its contributions by delivering aid in stages to support disaster-affected communities.

“Pupuk Indonesia’s assistance is not limited to today—it has continued from the beginning until now. The value is not what matters most; what I want to emphasize is our togetherness with the community. This disaster cannot be resolved by a single party alone,” Rahmad concluded.
