Makassar, March 9, 2026 — PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) held the Rewarding Gebyar Petroganik and NPK Pelangi Kakao program as a form of appreciation for retail kiosks and farmers who have contributed to accelerating the distribution of subsidized fertilizers in the Sulawesi region. This activity was carried out in stages across four provinces: South Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, and Southeast Sulawesi.

The Gebyar Petroganik and NPK Pelangi Kakao program is part of the Acceleration Program for the Distribution of Subsidized Organic Fertilizer and Special Formula NPK for Cocoa, which took place from July 1 to December 31, 2025. The program aims to increase the realization of subsidized fertilizer distribution at the PPTS level (Recipients at Delivery Points) and to encourage fertilizer utilization by farmers to support agricultural productivity, particularly cocoa commodities in Sulawesi.

Through this program, fertilizer redemption during the implementation period reached 33,340 tons, consisting of 27,872 tons of NPK Pelangi Kakao and 5,468 tons of Petroganik organic fertilizer. Compared to the previous year, NPK Pelangi Kakao realization increased by 1,885 tons or around 7 percent. Meanwhile, organic fertilizer distribution showed a significant increase from 789 tons in 2024 to 5,468 tons in 2025.

In addition, from the farmer distribution perspective, there was an increase from 31,595 tons in 2024 to 42,973 tons in 2025, or approximately a 36 percent rise during the program period. This increase indicates more active fertilizer redemption by farmers and optimal distribution through the existing network.

As a form of appreciation, Pupuk Indonesia awarded 183 PPTS that achieved the best distribution performance during the program period. The recipients included 72 PPTS from South Sulawesi, 35 from West Sulawesi, 52 from Central Sulawesi, and 24 from Southeast Sulawesi.

In addition to PPTS, Pupuk Indonesia also gave appreciation to 100 farmers who purchased Petroganik and NPK Pelangi Kakao fertilizers during the program period. Each province had 25 farmers receiving prizes such as shopping vouchers, stoves, electric fans, televisions, smartphones, and the grand prize of an Umrah pilgrimage package.

Four lucky farmers won the grand prize of an Umrah package. They were Musliadi from Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi; Kartini from Pasangkayu Regency, West Sulawesi; Binti Nafsiah from Toli-Toli Regency, Central Sulawesi; and Hasnawati from South Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi.

Regional CEO 4 of PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero), Wisnu Ramadhani, stated that the program reflects the company’s commitment to supporting the improvement of subsidized fertilizer distribution while also appreciating all parties involved in delivering fertilizers to farmers.

“This program is a form of appreciation for PPTS and farmers who have contributed to accelerating subsidized fertilizer distribution. We hope this program will further encourage optimization of fertilizer distribution and increase agricultural productivity, especially cocoa commodities in Sulawesi,” said Wisnu.

Several stakeholders involved in the fertilizer distribution chain also expressed their appreciation for the program.

A representative of a South Sulawesi regional enterprise (PUD) stated that the program has positively boosted fertilizer distribution performance in their area.

“This program greatly helps increase enthusiasm for fertilizer distribution in the field. With this kind of appreciation, we are even more motivated to ensure fertilizers are properly distributed to farmers,” he said.

Meanwhile, a PPTS representative from Central Sulawesi said the program serves as recognition of kiosks’ roles in supporting subsidized fertilizer distribution.

“As a distribution kiosk, we feel highly appreciated. This program motivates us to continue improving service to farmers and ensure fertilizers are available and distributed accurately,” he said.

A retail distributor representative from West Sulawesi also noted that the program strengthens synergy among all parties in the fertilizer distribution chain.

“This program strengthens cooperation between distributors, kiosks, and Pupuk Indonesia. With initiatives like this, fertilizer distribution becomes more optimal and directly benefits farmers,” he said.

Similarly, a retail kiosk representative from Southeast Sulawesi stated that the program provides additional motivation for kiosks in serving farmers’ fertilizer needs.

“This program is very positive for us as retail kiosks because it provides extra motivation in distributing fertilizers to farmers. The appreciation given also reflects recognition of kiosks that help distribute fertilizers in the field,” he said.

Through this rewarding initiative, Pupuk Indonesia also hopes to strengthen synergy among the company, distributors, retail kiosks, and farmers to ensure subsidized fertilizers are distributed on time, in the right quantity, and to the right targets.
