Jakarta, March 12, 2026 — The commitment of PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) to strengthening industrial efficiency and good corporate governance (GCG) has received public recognition at the 2026 State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Awards (Anugerah BUMN 2026). These efforts are considered to support the competitiveness of the fertilizer industry and the long-term national food self-sufficiency program.

For these strategic initiatives, President Director of Pupuk Indonesia, Rahmad Pribadi, was awarded The Best CEO Visionary Leadership in the SOE and publicly listed SOE subsidiary category. In addition, at the corporate level, Pupuk Indonesia also received three other awards: 1st Place for Best Growth Strategy; 1st Place for Best Strategic Collaboration; and 2nd Place for Best Corporate Organizational Transformation.

“For Pupuk Indonesia, business transformation is a necessity through plant revitalization improvements accompanied by strengthened governance as the main foundation to maintain company performance, and most importantly to enhance contributions toward the sustainability of Indonesia’s food self-sufficiency,” said Rahmad Pribadi.

The Best CEO Visionary Leadership award was given to Rahmad Pribadi for his leadership in strengthening efficiency and optimizing production. This includes the construction and revitalization of seven plants over the next five years, ensuring the security of fertilizer raw material supply, and strengthening distribution capabilities and networks across Indonesia.

In the coming years, Pupuk Indonesia is also preparing several strategic development initiatives, including expansion and diversification of its product portfolio such as methanol and its derivatives, clean ammonia business development, industrial support services, and others.

At the same time, these strategic initiatives are directed to strengthen Pupuk Indonesia’s role in supporting more effective national subsidized fertilizer governance, both in terms of distribution and production efficiency. This aligns with the mandate of Presidential Regulation No. 113 of 2026, which refines Presidential Regulation No. 6 of 2025. Through the resulting efficiencies, the government, for the first time in history, reduced the Highest Retail Price (HET) of subsidized fertilizers by 20% in October 2025.

Pupuk Indonesia’s ability to balance business growth with the government mandate to ensure the availability and affordability of subsidized fertilizers for farmers has also led the company to win 1st Place in the Best Growth Strategy category.

In the Best Strategic Collaboration category (1st Place), Pupuk Indonesia was recognized for strengthening strategic partnerships to enhance global competitiveness. These include collaboration with PETRONAS Chemicals Group Berhad (PCG) to strengthen the urea and ammonia supply chain, cooperation with Somiphos to secure phosphate raw materials, and others.

Additionally, Pupuk Indonesia actively participates in international industry forums, including serving as a permanent board member of the International Fertilizer Association (IFA), and acting as a speaker at global forums such as the Argus Fertilizer Asia Conference and the United Nations climate forum, Conference of the Parties (COP).

Meanwhile, the 2nd Place award for Best Corporate Organizational Transformation was granted for Pupuk Indonesia’s success in implementing organizational transformation and sustainable human capital development. Through these initiatives, the company continues to strengthen organizational capabilities while fostering an adaptive, innovative, and globally competitive work culture.

In addition to Pupuk Indonesia, several subsidiaries and their leaders also received awards at the event. President Director of PT Petrokimia Gresik, Daconi Khotob, received The Best CEO Visionary Leadership award for SOE subsidiaries. Meanwhile, PT Petrokimia Gresik and PT Pupuk Kujang received Best Company Growth Strategy awards, and PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur won Best Corporate Business Innovation.

The SOE Awards (Anugerah BUMN) have been held for 15 years as a platform to recognize SOEs and their subsidiaries, as well as an instrument to encourage governance strengthening, optimization of state assets, SOE synergy, and economic value creation. In this year’s event, governance was one of the key assessment aspects, aimed at encouraging and recognizing SOEs that demonstrate regulatory compliance, institutional reform, and strategic contributions to national development.
