Danantara Indonesia 1 Year Anniversary : Strengthening Foundation For Future Generation Of Indonesia
Jakarta, March 11, 2026 – Danantara Indonesia marked one year of its institutional journey through a reflection event held at Wisma Danantara, Jakarta, on Tuesday (March 11). The event was attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, cabinet ministers, as well as the leadership and all members of Danantara.
On this occasion, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, delivered directives to all Danantara personnel on the importance of maintaining integrity, governance discipline, and long-term orientation in managing state assets to strengthen the foundation of national economic development.
The President emphasized that Danantara Indonesia was established to ensure that state assets are managed professionally and with a long-term national interest perspective, so as to generate tangible added value for national development and public welfare.
“We are grateful that Indonesia now has a state investment management institution that can stand alongside sovereign wealth funds at the global level. Within this first year, it is already evident that with good management, disciplined governance, and strong commitment, the performance of state asset management can improve significantly. However, this achievement is only the beginning. Going forward, we must continue strengthening governance and improving performance so that state asset management truly delivers the greatest possible benefits for the people of Indonesia.”
This first anniversary celebration carries the theme “One Danantara,” reflecting the spirit of all state-owned enterprises (SOEs) to move forward in unity to strengthen the foundation of the national economy and create broader impacts for future generations.
Rosan Roeslani, CEO of Danantara Indonesia, stated that the institution’s first year focused on building a strong institutional and governance foundation, while ensuring that the direction of state investment management remains anchored in creating long-term benefits for society.
“The management of state assets must ultimately deliver real impact for the nation’s future. Therefore, commitment to building future generations is also an essential part of Danantara Indonesia’s journey,” he said.
This commitment is reflected not only in strengthening governance and the structure of state asset management, but also in various initiatives that emphasize that development outcomes must provide tangible benefits for society, including Indonesia’s younger generation.
As a symbol of commitment to the nation’s future, the event also featured the symbolic handover of 88,000 school supply packages for children across Indonesia. This program was implemented simultaneously by SOEs in various regions as part of support for educational access and preparation for Indonesia’s Golden Generation.
The Pupuk Indonesia Group also participated in Danantara’s national movement by providing school supply assistance to students. Through two of its subsidiaries—PT Petrokimia Gresik and PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur—the company distributed 2,500 school supply packages each to students in East Java and East Kalimantan. The distribution has been carried out in stages since March 3 as part of the company’s commitment to supporting educational access for the younger generation.
“Pupuk Indonesia Group’s participation in this Danantara national movement is part of our commitment to creating social impact through education in order to nurture Indonesia’s golden generation,” said Rahmad Pribadi, President Director of Pupuk Indonesia.
Rahmad added that Pupuk Indonesia is currently continuing its fertilizer subsidy transformation agenda through strengthened governance and operational efficiency, particularly through the revitalization and modernization of fertilizer plants to enhance competitiveness and support the sustainability of national food self-sufficiency.
Through the momentum of its first anniversary, Danantara Indonesia reaffirmed its commitment to continuously strengthening governance foundations, improving the quality of state asset management, and promoting strategic investments that deliver long-term economic and social impacts for Indonesia.
“This first year is a phase of building the foundation. Going forward, our focus is to ensure that this foundation is translated into tangible performance through strong governance, professional state asset management, and strategic investments that benefit the national economy and the future of Indonesia’s next generations,” Rosan concluded.
