Jember, April 16, 2026 – PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) stated that farmers in Jember have shown strong enthusiasm in redeeming subsidized fertilizers at the beginning of 2026. The redemption volume reached 15,000 tons, marking the highest level in the past three years.

Account Executive (AE) of PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) in Jember, Slamet Saputra, explained that the redemption has reached 12 percent of Jember’s allocation for 2026, totaling 124,122 tons. He expressed hope that this high level of redemption will have a positive impact on agricultural productivity in Jember Regency.

“At the beginning of the year, redemption broke the highest record. Based on this realization trend, Jember falls into the category of simultaneous utilization across regions,” said Slamet Saputra.

With this strong enthusiasm, he ensured that Pupuk Indonesia continues to maintain stock levels in accordance with the government-set allocation. This ensures that when registered farmers redeem fertilizers, the products are readily available at official kiosks or designated distribution points, known as Penerima Pupuk pada Titik Serah (PPTS).

As of April 10, 2026, subsidized fertilizer stocks across four warehouses in Jember are sufficient to meet farmers’ needs during the early planting season from April to September 2026. Available stocks include 1,760 tons of urea, 571 tons of NPK Phonska, 90 tons of organic fertilizer, and 39 tons of ZA fertilizer. Specifically for NPK Phonska, shipments from PT Petrokimia Gresik are continuously delivered on a rolling basis to keep pace with high demand in the field.

Meanwhile, the Jember Office of Food Crops, Horticulture, and Plantation (DTPHP), in collaboration with Pupuk Indonesia, has ensured that fertilizer supply for registered farmers remains adequate. Head of Infrastructure, Facilities, and Agricultural Extension at DTPHP Jember, Moch Kosim, stated that proactive measures have been taken to ensure that subsidized fertilizer supply aligns with the allocated quota.

“We have formally communicated with Pupuk Indonesia to ensure sufficient supply. During this transition period, we must avoid public perception that subsidized fertilizers are scarce in the field,” said Kosim.
