Bone, May 11, 2026 – PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) has suspended the subsidized fertilizer distribution license of subsidized fertilizer kiosk (Penerima pada Titik Serah/PPTS) UD Usaha Madu located in Cani Sirenreng Village, Ulaweng District, Bone Regency, South Sulawesi. The measure was taken as a swift response by the Company following reports submitted by registered farmers in Cani Sirenreng Village.

Regional CEO 4 of Pupuk Indonesia, Wisnu Ramadhani, stated that the distribution license of PPTS UD Usaha Madu was suspended after the kiosk was found to have misused funds paid by farmers for the purchase of subsidized fertilizers for personal purposes. As a result, farmers who had already paid for the fertilizers had yet to receive the products.

“Any violation in the distribution of subsidized fertilizers will be dealt with firmly and sanctioned accordingly. We remain committed to supporting the Government in improving the distribution of subsidized fertilizers and sustaining national food self-sufficiency. Subsidized fertilizers are commodities under Government supervision and therefore must not be misused,” said Wisnu.

Wisnu further explained that the suspension sanction was decided through a deliberation meeting attended by the Head of Ulaweng District, the Coordinator of the Ulaweng Agricultural Extension Center (BPP), the owner of PPTS UD Usaha Madu Tani, the Head of Cani Village, representatives of the Ulaweng Police Sector, Babinsa officers of Cani Sirenreng Village, and affected farmer groups. During the meeting, the farmers agreed to stop using the services of PPTS UD Usaha Madu Tani until the issue is resolved.

Until the matter is fully resolved, Pupuk Indonesia will transfer subsidized fertilizer distribution activities previously handled by the PPTS to other officially appointed subsidized fertilizer kiosks. The Pelaku Usaha Distribusi (PUD) overseeing PPTS UD Usaha Madu Tani will also continue to monitor and resolve the issue. During this period, all subsidized fertilizer distribution activities of UD Usaha Madu Tani will remain suspended.

“Fertilizers are a vital agricultural input for farmers, especially during the planting season when fertilizer demand cannot be delayed. Pupuk Indonesia will continue to provide the best products and services to support the Government in safeguarding national food security,” Wisnu concluded.
