Jakarta, May 13, 2026 – PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) continues to optimize the national fertilizer distribution system amid the high demand for subsidized fertilizers from farmers across various regions. As of early May 2026, subsidized fertilizer redemption had reached 3.4 million tons, representing a 36% increase compared to the same period in 2025.

Pupuk Indonesia Corporate Secretary Yehezkiel Adiperwira stated that the increase in fertilizer redemption was driven by the Government’s policy to reduce the Highest Retail Price (HET) of subsidized fertilizers by up to 20 percent since October 2025. In addition, the simplification of fertilizer distribution governance through Presidential Regulation No. 113 of 2025 has made subsidized fertilizers more accessible to farmers while improving the efficiency of distribution. The higher redemption rate has also been influenced by prolonged rainfall in several regions.

“The increase in fertilizer redemption reflects farmers’ strong enthusiasm, particularly following the reduction in subsidized fertilizer HET and the simplification of distribution governance. Therefore, we continue to ensure that fertilizer distribution runs optimally so that farmers’ needs can be met promptly and accurately in accordance with field requirements,” said Yehezkiel.

Amid the rising redemption rate, Pupuk Indonesia continues to maintain adequate national fertilizer stocks through strengthened distribution measures. As of May 11, 2026, the Company’s total national fertilizer stock stood at 1.1 million tons, distributed across various regions throughout the country.

To ensure smooth distribution and maintain sufficient stock levels in every region, Pupuk Indonesia utilizes its Command Center and i-Pubers platform to monitor fertilizer redemption and stock conditions in real time, down to the handover-point level. These digital systems enable the Company to identify areas experiencing high demand and carry out stock reconfiguration (reallocation) swiftly without having to wait for manual reports.
