Tegal, June 4, 2026 – PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) has assured the availability of subsidized fertilizers throughout Central Java. Farmers can easily redeem subsidized fertilizers, as supplies have been prepared in accordance with the allocation set by the Government.

Regional CEO 2 of Pupuk Indonesia, Muhammad Ihwan F., stated that to ensure smooth distribution and maintain fertilizer availability, the Company implements a flexible inter-regional supply scheme.

“Each warehouse within Pupuk Indonesia’s operational network is not exclusively designated for a particular area. We apply a flexibility principle, meaning that whenever additional supply is needed in a certain region, farmers do not need to worry because fertilizers can be supplied through nearby warehouses,” said Ihwan during his visit to the Purwahamba Warehouse in Tegal Regency, Central Java, on Thursday (June 4, 2026).

Ihwan added that this flexibility principle also applies across production facilities. Subsidized fertilizer supplies for Tegal Regency can be sourced from any subsidiary within the Pupuk Indonesia Group whenever necessary, ensuring that farmers’ needs are met in a timely manner.

“Our top priority is ensuring that farmers’ needs are fulfilled without disruption, especially during the planting season. Through this flexible supply scheme, farmers can utilize subsidized fertilizers optimally to support food security and food self-sufficiency programs promoted by the Government,” Ihwan emphasized.

He further explained that, in addition to implementing a flexible supply system, the Government had previously reduced the Highest Retail Price (HET) of subsidized fertilizers by 20 percent starting in October 2025 to improve farmers’ access to subsidized fertilizers. The price reduction reflects the Government’s commitment to supporting farmers, particularly amid geopolitical uncertainties and the threat of a global food crisis.

“Farmers should not be charged above the HET when redeeming subsidized fertilizers. If anyone encounters prices exceeding the HET, please first verify whether additional charges on the receipt relate to transportation costs or farmers’ group contributions, while the fertilizer price itself remains in line with the HET,” Ihwan explained.

He also assured farmers that there would be no increase in subsidized fertilizer prices in 2026 despite the depreciation of the Rupiah. Pupuk Indonesia guarantees that subsidized fertilizer prices will remain unchanged throughout the year as part of the Government’s efforts to support farmers and accelerate the achievement of national food self-sufficiency.

These policy improvements have contributed to higher subsidized fertilizer uptake. As of June 3, 2026, subsidized fertilizer redemption in Central Java had reached 701,670 tons, equivalent to 49 percent of the province’s total 2026 allocation.

To ensure that subsidized fertilizer distribution in Central Java continues to run smoothly, Pupuk Indonesia has prepared 45,373 tons of subsidized fertilizer stocks. As of June 3, 2026, inventories remained at a safe level, consisting of 19,017 tons of Urea, 21,768 tons of NPK fertilizer, 3,719 tons of organic fertilizer, 636 tons of ZA fertilizer, 233 tons of SP-36 fertilizer, Meanwhile, fertilizer stocks in the Tegal area stood at 1,693 tons, comprising 1,149 tons of Urea, 317 tons of NPK fertilizer, 210 tons of organic fertilizer, 17 tons of ZA fertilizer. These inventories are considered sufficient to support farmers’ needs throughout the current planting season in Tegal.

“The stocks currently available in this warehouse are sufficient to meet demand for the next three weeks. Farmers do not need to worry about the availability of subsidized fertilizers,” Ihwan concluded.
