Gorontalo, June 23, 2026 – PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) has ensured that subsidized fertilizer stocks for farmers in Gorontalo Province remain secure and available in accordance with government provisions. The company maintains these stocks as part of its commitment to supporting agricultural productivity and the national food self-sufficiency program.

Director General of Agricultural Infrastructure and Facilities (PSP) at the Ministry of Agriculture, Andi Nur Alam Syah, expressed his appreciation to Pupuk Indonesia for successfully fulfilling its mandate to distribute subsidized fertilizers to farmers. He added that one of the most critical factors in agricultural production is the distribution of subsidized fertilizers.

“We continue to safeguard Pupuk Indonesia’s performance. We consistently monitor subsidized fertilizer distribution all the way to farmers. This monitoring aims to minimize potential obstacles in the field so that agricultural productivity can be maintained. With the improvements that have been implemented, God willing, we will be able to sustain food self-sufficiency in 2026,” said Andi.

Meanwhile, Supply Chain Director of PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero), Robby Setiabudi Madjid, stated that the company has currently prepared a total of 1.2 million tons of subsidized and non-subsidized fertilizers. This consists of 876,989 tons of subsidized fertilizers and 342,665 tons of non-subsidized fertilizers. The total stock is equivalent to approximately 20 days of national subsidized fertilizer demand, ensuring a safe level of supply to meet farmers’ needs, including those in Gorontalo Province.

“We ensure that subsidized fertilizers remain available and accessible to farmers in accordance with the applicable regulations. We also continue to strengthen coordination with the central government, regional governments, agricultural extension officers, and all distribution partners to ensure that subsidized fertilizer distribution runs smoothly and reaches the intended beneficiaries,” Robby said during the PILAR TANI program featuring a Socialization of Subsidized Fertilizer Governance Policy and Balanced Fertilization in Gorontalo on Monday (June 22).

As of June 20, 2026, the company’s fertilizer stock consisted of 561,588 tons of Urea, 236,654 tons of NPK Phonska, 11,632 tons of NPK Cocoa, 17,573 tons of SP-36, 2,871 tons of ZA, and 46,673 tons of organic fertilizer. Robby added that Pupuk Indonesia also conducts daily monitoring of fertilizer availability down to the Penerima Pupuk pada Titik Serah (PPTS). This monitoring is intended to ensure that fertilizers are always available whenever farmers need them.

“In addition to ensuring fertilizer availability, Pupuk Indonesia continues to support the implementation of a subsidized fertilizer governance system that is simpler, more effective, and more responsive in accordance with the Government’s latest regulations. We hope this will enable faster services for farmers while improving the accuracy of subsidized fertilizer distribution,” Robby said.

The improved accessibility and sufficient availability of subsidized fertilizers have contributed to the high level of fertilizer uptake by farmers across Indonesia. As of June 20, 2026, national subsidized fertilizer distribution had reached 4,611,695 tons, or 46.84 percent of the national allocation of 9,845,686 tons.

In Gorontalo alone, fertilizer uptake during the same period reached 42,398 tons, equivalent to 21 percent of the province’s 2026 allocation of 206,284 tons.

On the same occasion, Pupuk Indonesia also encouraged farmers to implement balanced fertilization based on the recommended application rates. This initiative aims to improve fertilizer-use efficiency, maintain soil fertility, and support sustainable increases in agricultural productivity.

“Through strong synergy among all stakeholders, Pupuk Indonesia remains optimistic that the availability and distribution of subsidized fertilizers in Gorontalo will continue to be well maintained, thereby supporting higher agricultural production and strengthening national food security,” Robby concluded.
