Mamuju, July 3, 2026 – Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan assured farmers that they no longer need to worry about the availability of subsidized fertilizers. Under President Prabowo’s administration, the Government has introduced new regulations that make it easier for farmers to obtain subsidized fertilizers while ensuring adequate fertilizer availability across all regions.

“President Prabowo’s policy has simplified the process of obtaining subsidized fertilizers, ensuring that fertilizers are now readily available,” Zulkifli Hasan said during the Rembuk Tani (Farmers’ Dialogue) held in Sinyonyoi Village, Mamuju, West Sulawesi, on Friday (July 3, 2026).

The Minister, popularly known as Zulhas, explained that previously there were 145 regulations governing the distribution of subsidized fertilizers, which contributed to delays in the distribution process. Under President Prabowo Subianto’s administration, he said, farmers can now access subsidized fertilizers more easily through a much simpler mechanism.

Zulhas further explained that these improvements were made possible following the issuance of Presidential Regulation No. 6 of 2025, which was subsequently refined through Presidential Regulation No. 113 of 2026 on the Governance of Subsidized Fertilizers. These regulations effectively replaced the previous 145 regulations, allowing registered farmers to redeem subsidized fertilizers from the beginning of the year according to their allocated quotas or whenever they need them.

“Today, fertilizer is readily available, and for the first time in history, its price has been reduced by 20 percent. Fertilizer is now available before the planting season begins—in fact, supplies are more than sufficient,” he said.

He also commended Pupuk Indonesia for its swift implementation of the Government’s subsidized fertilizer governance policy.

“Our appreciation goes to Pupuk Indonesia. Under the leadership of Mr. Rahmad (President Director), the company has achieved remarkable progress by reducing fertilizer prices while simultaneously developing new fertilizer plants,” he added.

On the same occasion, Supply Chain Director of PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero), Robby Setiabudi Madjid, expressed his appreciation for the Government’s support, which has enabled Pupuk Indonesia to distribute subsidized fertilizers more efficiently. According to him, the Government’s policy improvements have significantly optimized farmers’ fertilizer uptake.

As of June 30, 2026, Pupuk Indonesia had distributed 4,845,686 tons of subsidized fertilizers nationwide, equivalent to 49 percent of the total 2026 allocation. The distribution comprised 2,199,809 tons of Urea, 2,462,036 tons of NPK, 40,416 tons of NPK Cocoa, 4,883 tons of SP-36, 6,407 tons of ZA, and 141,909 tons of organic fertilizer.

In West Sulawesi alone, Pupuk Indonesia had distributed 38,453 tons of subsidized fertilizers, representing 50 percent of the province’s 2026 allocation of 77,367 tons. The distribution consisted of 14,015 tons of Urea, 15,651 tons of NPK, 8,095 tons of NPK Cocoa, 245 tons of SP-36, and 447 tons of organic fertilizer.

To support optimal fertilizer distribution, Pupuk Indonesia has prepared a national fertilizer stock totaling 1.2 million tons. This includes 850,473 tons of subsidized fertilizers, consisting of 537,282 tons of Urea, 235,884 tons of NPK, 10,238 tons of NPK Cocoa, 15,644 tons of SP-36, 3,455 tons of ZA, and 47,970 tons of organic fertilizer.

In addition, the company has prepared 414,314 tons of non-subsidized fertilizers, comprising 362,519 tons of Urea, 12,126 tons of NPK, and 39,669 tons of ZA.
