Pangkep, September 26, 2026 – PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) continues to strengthen the distribution of subsidized fertilizer for the fisheries sector in Pangkajene and Islands Regency (Pangkep), South Sulawesi. This was conveyed by Pupuk Indonesia Regional CEO 4, Wisnu Ramadhani, during the Pilar Mina Bahari event held on Saturday (September 26, 2026).

Wisnu stated that Pupuk Indonesia continues to ensure the availability of subsidized fertilizer in accordance with the designated allocation while strengthening distribution governance to ensure that it reaches eligible recipients.

“Pupuk Indonesia is committed to ensuring the availability of subsidized fertilizer in line with the designated allocation to meet the needs of fish farmers. We also continue to strengthen coordination with local governments and all relevant stakeholders to ensure that distribution complies with applicable regulations and that fertilizer reaches eligible recipients,” Wisnu said.

Specifically for the fisheries sector, subsidized fertilizer is allocated to fish farmers who are members of fish farming groups and registered in the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP)'s e-RPSP system. Subsidized fertilizer redemption continues to be carried out using a national identity card (KTP) through the iPubers application, as part of distribution governance to ensure accurate targeting and proper transaction records. For fish-growing activities, the applicable regulations stipulate a maximum cultivation area of two hectares.

In 2026, Pangkep Regency received an allocation of 27,156 tons of subsidized fertilizer for the fisheries sector, consisting of 10,519 tons of Urea, 5,950 tons of NPK Phonska, 7,246 tons of organic fertilizer, and 3,441 tons of SP-36. As of September 24, 2026, distribution had reached 11,562 tons, equivalent to 43% of the total allocation. This included 4,969 tons of Urea, 790 tons of organic fertilizer, and 475 tons of SP-36.

Pupuk Indonesia continues to encourage all parties involved in the distribution ecosystem, from producers and local governments to distributors and fish farmers, to understand and comply with applicable regulations and ensure an orderly distribution process. This is essential to ensure that subsidized fertilizer reaches eligible fish farmers and is used according to its intended purpose.

Through the Pilar Mina Bahari event, Pupuk Indonesia also seeks to optimize subsidized fertilizer distribution in Pangkep by strengthening coordination and communication with stakeholders in the fisheries sector. Improved distribution governance is expected to make the process more effective and support fish farmers' needs in carrying out their business activities.

On the same occasion, Director General of Aquaculture at the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Tb. Haeru Rahayu, stated that the allocation of subsidized fertilizer for the fisheries sector needs to be utilized optimally by recipients who meet the requirements. Such utilization is expected to support the sustainability of aquaculture activities while contributing to improved community welfare.

Meanwhile, Pangkep Regent Muhammad Yusran Lalogau emphasized the importance of ensuring that various forms of government support and assistance, including subsidized fertilizer, reach the intended beneficiaries. He noted that stronger coordination between the government and all relevant stakeholders is necessary to ensure that subsidy programs deliver optimal benefits to the people of Pangkep Regency.
